Spring 2000 - Special Topics Classes
HMT 297-50	International Cooking At Home Mondays from 6:00-9:45 PM Room 13409 3 credits Classes begin on March 27, 2000

This course is for the at-home cook who wants to learn international cuisine. Topics of study will be Japan, China, Korea, Italy, Spain, Greece, Mexico, and America. Come join us to see what it is all about. If you would like more information, call (937)512-5197. Spring quarter registration began on February 14, 2000.

Scholarships for Hospitality Management - Culinary Arts Majors

Aramark Culinary Art Scholarship

Must have a declared major in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Must have completed at least 15 credit hours in the core curriculum
Personal essay including your goals is required

This scholarship is being offered through the Sinclair Community College Office of Financial Aid. Scholarship opportunities for Spring 2000 opened for application on Thursday, January 20, 2000 and closed on Friday, February 25, 2000. Dayton Chefs' Culinary Arts Scholarship

Major in Culinary Arts Option
Minimum 2.75 GPA
Completed a minimum of 15 credit hours in the Culinary Arts core curriculum
Must be currently employed in the food service industry
Application must include a letter of recommendation from current employer in the food service industry

This scholarship is being offered through the Sinclair Community College Office of Financial Aid. $850 award
Offered by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation
Application deadline is May 1st for August (Fall 2000) distribution

Professionals come together to learn from each other. This show is for trade only and is not open to the public. It features over 2000 companies displaying over 860 product categories, ice carving competition, cuisine contest, a resource center, American Food Fair featuring specialty foods from around the nation, a 10K race, educational programs and much more.

Hospitality Management / Culinary Arts Club

The Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts Club serves to develop professionalism among its members; provides opportunity to make contacts with persons working in the field; and encourages personal enrichment, and academic and career advancement.

Students currently enrolled at Sinclair, full and part-time and in good academic standing of 2.0, are invited to join.
Dues - $5.00 per quarter
Meetings are held 6 times each quarter.
